The Narrative Dude Writes

Everything is a story waiting to be told.

Starting is simple. It’s everything between starting and ending that’s hard.

As a writing instructor with 25 years of experience, you would think I would have a tried-and-true anecdote to start this blog the right way. Thinking, however, can be dangerous.

I’m getting to the age where retirement is right around the corner, and the idea of just sitting around feels like an awful waste of time, especially since I’ve achieved so few of my life goals – there are plenty of excuses, but I’ll get to this soon. For right now, I just need to remember that I’m building foundations. YouTube, Medium, Substack, Ghost, and now WordPress have become my initial entry points.

I’ll follow up soon with The Plan, and how I envision building my post 58 years into something sustainable.
