Time Travelers in Old Sitcoms

I’ve binged Friends and a few other episodic, 90s and 00s series and I’ve marveled at the number of future celebrities appearing in single episodes. It’s just shy of being a drinking game.

Lately, I’ve come to realize how strange it is to judge faces solely based on their current celebrity. It gives me insights into my favorite troupe: time travel.

Insights such as identifying a time traveler based on how they react to passing strangers. Imagine you’re watching the mark selected by the Grand Historical Conformity Council. You’re paying careful attention to what should be a pivotal moment and someone famous for the far future walks past.

Is it a coincidence? Is it fate that two important people pass each other at what is a singular moment? Or did the Council confuse the mission? Should you stay on mission or follow the other important person?

That’s the assignment. Stay alert and watch for any distracted individuals that seem to be confused.
